Media Centre - Systems Labelling appoint Terry Stedman in lead technical development role.

Continued success has driven an organisational reshuffle at the UK’s largest independent label printer. Terry Stedman a well-known industry figure has been appointed as the new Technical Manager. The appointment is of key strategic importance to Systems Labelling currently the largest independent label printer in the UK.

Terry has an impressive career history in the label printing industry including the implementation and delivery of Quality Assurance and BRC systems along with numerous product development successes during his 35 years at James Townsends & Sons Ltd. Terry commented on his new position “The track record Systems Labelling has for innovation was a real attraction for me given the fit with my experience. This new position will give me the ideal opportunity to develop new products working closely with the marketing and production functions.”

A pioneer of innovations for the beverage sector including cut & stack synthetic labels applied on existing wraparound labelling machines. Mr. Stedman has also achieved an OPPACK Award from Exxon Mobil following the development of clear on clear plastic patch labels for cold glue labellers.

Technical Director Dave Acott comments “I am looking forward to building on our existing technical capabilities with the help of Terry. Our predicted growth and additional pipeline business has required some strategic thought; the outcome is a production management structure that will encourage product development and continued innovation. After all this is at the core of everything we do. This appointment will strengthen our management structure whilst adding the flexibility, controls and skills we require to maintain our position in the market.”
